Blessings Masina has more than 5 years of combined experience in academia and industry, with a strong link between the two fields. He is a Chemical Engineering Lecturer who holds a Master of Engineering in Applied Chemical Engineering with distinction. He has a comprehensive understanding of quality control, mass transfer, heat transfer, fluid flow, and mechanical operations. With a strong background in processes across the energy and power, chemical, petrochemical, water and wastewater, environmental, food and drink, and cement industries, he is proficient in designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex systems to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
An advocate of Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Blessings is dedicated to fostering innovative, real-world problem-solving approaches in education, which bridges the gap between academic theory and industry practice. He is also skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals. Additionally, Blessings serves as a Mentor at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark, Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK) in Finland, and Bugema University (BU) in Uganda under the AgriGROW Project student challenges.
