Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) Vice Chancellor, Professor Address Maukowa Malata, has been nominated as a candidate for the Commissioner of Education, Science and Technology and Innovation position at the African Union Commission.

The African Union (AU) is a continental organization that promotes economic, political, and social integration among its 55 member states. 

The AU Commission is the secretariat of the AU, responsible for implementing its decisions and policies.

Professor Malata is one of two Malawians nominated for AU Commission position, the other being renowned economist Dr Ellias Ngalande, who has been earmarked for  the Commissioner of Economic Development, Trade, Tourism, Industry, and Minerals position.

We wish both Professor Malata and Dr Ngalande the very best in this nomination process. 

Their dedication and expertise will undoubtedly make a significant impact on the continent.
